RPS to Hertz (RPS to Hertz)
Result
1 Hertz
Formula
Hertz = RPS × 1
1 RPS = 1 Hertz, and 1 Hertz = 1 RPS.
One hertz is one cycle per second, so 1 RPM (revolution per minute) and 1 BPM (beat per minute) are each 1/60 Hz, and 1 RPS is 1 Hz.
Worked examples
- 1 RPS × 1 = 1 Hertz
- 10 RPS × 1 = 10 Hertz
- 100 RPS × 1 = 100 Hertz
Common mistakes
- Angular velocity in radians per second is not hertz: ω = 2π × f.
