Tire Pressure Guide: PSI to Bar Conversion Chart and Safe Pressure Ranges
Convert tire pressure between PSI, bar, and kPa. Learn recommended pressures for cars, bikes, and trucks, plus seasonal adjustment tips for safe driving.

Understanding Tire Pressure Units
Different countries use different pressure units:
- PSI (pounds per square inch) — USA, UK
- Bar — Europe, most of the world
- kPa (kilopascals) — Australia, some Asian countries
- Check pressure at least monthly (cold weather drops pressure)
- Measure when tires are cold (before driving)
- Add 1-2 PSI above recommended if driving in very cold conditions
- Hot roads increase pressure — don't deflate hot tires
- Check in the morning before driving
- Stay at recommended pressure
